'V' is for Ventilation!

To insure better ventilation and easier access to your hives and keep them off the ground, construct a simple, inexpensive square frame made from old 2x4’s or 2x6’s. I prefer 2x6 for the additional height.  Make the length and width the same dimensions as your hives, this works for TBH too.  Drill two one inch diameter holes on each end/side, then, staple a small piece of window screen over them to help reduce unwanted neighborhood pests.  You’ll have better ventilation in summer and winter. Oh, and you’ll  discover your tender back isn’t nearly as sore because you won’t have so far to bend down to see your friends in their high rise hive!
